I see the hype about the place! This place gets busy but the staff has it down. We did not have to wait too long for our food and we ordered ice cream once we got our food. Everything was so fresh and the menu changes seasonally. We ordered the sandwich and salad. I recommend sharing an ice cream because it is huge. Can't wait to come back and try other items on the menu!

I can't speak highly enough about this place and I keep taking friends who have never been. The food is delicious, a mix of summer comfort food with a decidedly PNW twist. I'm even more impressed with Sugarpine this past week. On Juneteenth they could have been open and made many sales for all those customers lounging on the Sandy River. But instead they were closed, allowing their employees a day off for rest like most of the public. Three cheers!

Sugarpine Drive-In is one of my favorite sweet treats in the Portland area. Sitting on the bank of the Sandy River, this drive-in is situated in a perfect location for relaxing afternoons in the spring and summer. There are trails down to the river, and plenty of outdoor seating to best take in the scenery. I've yet to order a meal here, opting instead for the sweet treats! I absolutely love the Larch Mountain signature sundae. It's a chocolate/vanilla swirl soft serve topped with blondie brownie bites, topped with blueberry-lavender sauce and pine nut honeycomb crunch! It's absolutely divine! The staff are very friendly and efficient, overseeing swift service and a quick turnaround with seated customers. This place is really hopping on the weekends, so parking a seating may be difficult to come by if you visit during peak hours. The drive through is for dessert orders only, and can back up into the parking at times. But the line moves pretty quickly. Do yourself a favor and check out Sugarpine Drive-In. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Originally I was a little skeptical because I've had pulled pork in the past, but was never blown away: however the server told us that this was their specials and people from all over the country come here just for the pulled pork sandwich. So we tried it and man was it good. The pulled pork meat was tender and moist, not dry at all. The bread was soft, and had this really nice sauce to it. The slaw was nice and crunchy and the pesto added a nice touch to it.

I've been wanting to come here for a long time and finally made it today! It was an overcast Saturday so it was busy but not packed but I can only imagine how popular this would be on a sunny summer day, especially after taking your doggo to run around all morning around the corner at the Sandy River Delta. There were many seating options mostly picnic tables, some bar tops on the parameter and covered seating tables inside where the ordering and pick up windows are. I do appreciate the instructions on ordering and the suggestions for when to order ice cream: order with your meal and get it at the same time, order when picking up your food, and going back in line after you finish your meal. All the staff were super friendly and helpful with the menu and it seems to be a well-run restaurant with a homey cozy vibe. Not to mention that the food is phenomenal and fresh! We got the special sandwich Koji Grinder (plant-based), Sugarpine Salad with whipped feta on the side, and the plant-based Strawberry Strudel Sundae. I can't tell you how grateful I am for non-dairy soft server options that's actually delicious! The bread for the grinder had that crunchy crust on the outside but perfectly soft on the inside with all the essential savory and vinegary flavors of an Italian deli sandwich with a plant-based twist. The salad had a variety of fresh marinated veggies with their house-made green goddess dressing. All food is freshly prepared and showcase the seasonality and locally sourced goodness! The star of the show had to be the sundae for sure! My toddler and I were fighting for the last bite from the cup! Please come support this local business and get ready to wow your taste buds!

The outdoor ambiance, the access to nature, the plentiful indoor and outdoor seating made Sugarpine the perfect quick stop for our large group - we came to celebrate, and Sugarpine offered the perfect pit stop en route to Multnomah Falls. The weather was a bit on the cooler side for us Texans, but we could not resist how mouthwatering the ice cream options here sounded. We balanced the ice cream craving with a delightful waffle grilled cheese (unique and tasty, though also basic) with some tasty tomato soup as a side, though we could have used a thicker, heartier version of tomato soup. The cashier and wait staff were really friendly and patient despite the lines and the fervor around this really great and simultaneously outdoor location.
